Claude McAlexander (BIOGRAPHY IS FINISHED)

Post by panoramic on Tue Apr 16, 2013 10:40 pm

Name: Claude McAlexander

Nicknames: Santa Claus - "No"

Age: 16, January 15th, 1997

Gender: He's pretty much a male.

God/dess Parent: Khione/χιών - Goddess of Snow

Claimed: At the age of 13, while he had been struck with depression, his mother had decided to contact him for the first time during those nights.
It was snowing heavily outside, and he had just done crying himself to sleep at night. His mother had appeared in his dreams, covered in a dress as pure as the white snow outside. He'd remembered he rested on her lap, telling this strange woman all his problems like he actually really trusted her. She'd gave him a glance of sympathy, and a caring smile as she ran her fingers through his hair.
She told him in a comforting tone - "Dear, there are so many obstacles waiting to break your ice, to break you in half. But you are much stronger then that, and you have your whole life waiting ahead for you.
Your friend was a caring kind person, and he knew that you would have done the same as well."

His father had shook him awake, and his step-mother was frozen in fear from what paranormality was taking place at that moment.
They all watched as the the symbol of a snowflake began to flicker right above his head.

Powers: He hasn't discovered any powers so far, to his dismay. But besides having powers, he is born with the ability to adapt easily to the cold.- "Okay, so my mom literally births me in the middle of blizzard territory, but she can't birth me any Frosty-The-Snowman-Frozone powers to match up all of that?"

Hometown: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. - "In the pithole of Canada, where we get snow for 5 months tops, a little baby snow boy was born to make it even more worse."

Mortal Parent(s):
David McAlexander (Father, Policeman) - "Sometimes, I would worry he would never come back from his job. But when he comes home with 2 boxes of Tims and 3 cups of hot cocoa, then we know that yes, he's still breathing."

Martha McAlexander neé Ramsey (Stepmother, Florist) - "It's really ironic how my mom tends for flowers with that type of climate, really."

Physical Description
What is truly distinguishable about his features is his sterling grey eyes, which contrast from most of his average appearance. Some say they would glisten under the sunlight, like a clean cut diamond. Of course, this form of flattery has always put a red blush to his cheeks, but he does agree, the features of his irises are amazing. The shape of his eyes always made him look as if he was always surprised, being big and wide; they seem to match his childlike behavior, as that's how big wide eyes are usually depicted with.
He was born with a reddish-blonde color with his strands of curly hair. It isn't kept well, just a simple brush through and back, but he can manage that just fine. His short hair extending to his jaw is wrapped around each other in loose soft curls. It molds around nicely with his oval shape of his face. On topic of his facial features, he also has sharp rigid nose, paired with smaller nostrils. It does look somewhat awkward in contrast to his big eyes. His lips are thin, and he has already grown wrinkles from just keeping a smile on all the time. He's also a very expressive person, and this goes to show when he has conversations, using his body and face language to express his emotions.
Claude isn't much of the supermodel type, nor is overly obese. His body is kept in an average weight, without much curves or muscle. He doesn't do as much excercise as he did before he quit playing hockey, but his partents still encourage him to eat well and to at least run a couple of laps around the neighborhood. He's not too tall though, as he stands around 5"5' in height, which is pretty much the average height for any average boy. Comparing himself to most boys in camp, he's pretty much a short guy though.
His clothing side isn't too flashy or stylish, but that's just because he can't afford that kind of clothing. You can usually see him wear the casual types of clothing, like t-shirts with funny lingo and a nice pair of jeans or shorts. He perfers to wear what he can afford, and with a great amount of comfort to them.

Personality
Humorous- Claude always keeps a cheeky tongue on him wherever he goes, even if he might get smacked across the face for not taking something too seriously. Humor, for him, is a gateway from being too emotional about anything, and always tries his best to crack up a joke once in awhile. Claude was never a guy 'special' enough to be a popular kid, nor was he strong enough to fend himself from the bullies. He'd always felt like he wasn't special enough to be anything; but hey, it's better to be the clown then a loser, right? That's why he uses jokes as a defenses mechanism from anything that can harm him, and anything he does to harm himself.

Amiable- Claude is without a doubt one of the most friendliest dorks you will ever come across in your life. As a pure extrovert and helpful citizen to society, he's a kid you might have heard about around the block. Before camp, he had a significant amount of friends to goof around with, but now he's unsure if he can ever get along with the type of crowd around camp. He's a great friend to talk to whenever you are down, and also provides with some kind of life advice he would try to come up with on top of his head.

Practical- Claude is obsessed with wanting to be just an ordinary boy. He believes truly in the laws of science and reality and has a hard time accepting the fact that Gods and Goddesses do exist. He does try to make sense out of every situation, but ends up frustrated and wanting to cry himself to sleep.
Having stuck in this normal bubble for so long, he feels, quote on quote, that he should have just taken the blue pill and got the hell out when he saw the man with goat legs, telling him where the perfect place was for the likenesses of himself. Thus far, he feels like he can never fit into Camp Half Blood, and now he's unsure if he can fit in with the rest of the world.

Anxious- So far, in the days of being aware about his true self, he has been completely paranoid about the entire universe. As people might have noticed by now, Claude is not well adjusted to big changes in his life; and he sure as hell wasn't expecting this much impact in his life. The fact that he had just found out he's been living his life as lie, it's really not surprising that he's been always driven up to the deep end. With every new surrounding or face, his nerves jolt up to a state of panic. This is because he feels that everyone and everything around him could possibly lead to his death! And because he's ended up in a summer camp to train demigods to fight off monsters, why would he think otherwise?

Ethical- He believes truly in morality and keeping everything in a moderate level. Claude has always hated being dragged along by his friends to watch scary movies. He wasn't that kind of guy to watch a victim get sadistically murdered by a psycho on film. His father, the policeman, had influenced this way of thinking on him. If what is considered right, then it is most definitely right. Claude is a boy who prefers to stick by the rules, and to be considerate about his decisions. That's why he's a bit pacifistic and reluctant when it comes to swordfighting with actual swords. He hates the fact that he can someday be responsible for a death of another person like him. He knows demigods are always in the brink of danger, and that they should always keep their heads up; but sometimes, he would rather die knowing he never knew about himself at all.

Integrity- Claude is never one to back away from his mistakes. He will always accept what he has done wrong and take it like a man, just like his good ol' pop had raised him to be. He knows what he feels is right for most situations, and never tries to commit any wrong doing at all. He's just that kind of kid who would always stand up for the underdogs, or letting a little kid cut in front of him at a ice cream truck. He hates having that gut-wrenching feeling of guilt, especially if it's lying about something major. But he's always so self defeating, and being way too hard on himself when he makes a mistake. But, it's better to be ashamed of one's self then to be shamed by the millions.

Talents
-Writing: Fiction novels, script writing, also keeps a diary around with him.
-Track and field specialist: Can run at a moderate speed, great at javelin throwing.
-A pretty decent singer, and has been in numerous times been compared to Pharrell Williams. Has joined the school Jazz Group, and is the second male singer lead.
-Played hockey since he was 5, but has stopped around 13 due to losing interest. Pretty fantastic at skating, but not a figure skater by any means.
Weaknesses
Claude is a very insecure individual. It may not be the case with his usual cheery mood, but he still doubts about himself still to this day. He's always been afraid that whatever he does for the world, it will never be worth enough for the world. Even finding out about his godly heritage, it still doesn't make his feel as powerful - in fact, it makes him feel even more worthless, knowing that there will be gods above watching his every move. Now he feels that he should prove himself worthy instead.

Fatal Flaw
Claude is very quick to do what he feels is right, rather than thinking it through. This way of doing things has lead to very drastic mistakes in his life, up to even endangering his own life. When he chooses to believe that it's his duty to do something, he will commit to it, even if it's anything not even worth dealing with or anything he even shouldn't be dealing with.

Likes
  • He loves any form of entertainment, but mostly fantastic literature and great reading material. He was just that type of kid who always prompted their parents to read them bedtime stories. To his unfortunate demise, he was born with dyslexia, thus having the words scramble around the pages as he tries to read them. But he has learned to read at ease, even if he gets lost in a jumble of letters.
  • He cherishes the good relationships he has with others, because no man is without any sort of company. He dislikes not having at least a friend to hang out with around the weekends, and is always the chattiest person in the group.
  • The reason for this may or may not be because of his mother, but he just loves the cool weather. He just enjoys moments like the first set of snowflakes melting at the warmth of his gloved hand, or the rain drops pitter pattering by his window.

Dislikes
  • Spicy food, as he believes, is a form of torture developed only for the sole reason of burning people's tongue's off. He just doesn't find any sole enjoyment in eating spicy food.
  • Being the oddball out of all his group of friends, he hates mainstream hip hop and rap. "It's not the artists making music, it's the music companies making money. And thus the result of terribly written lyrics over a terribly composed beat."
  • He hates knowing the fact that people can be so judgement, and so cruel with each other. He hates knowing that there is a person around somewhere who would cry alone thinking that their lives are meaningless to the world. He just hates knowing that most don't even get a person to comfort them, and tell them otherwise.

Fears
Due to the life changing experience he had, he has developed a fear of dying without fulfilling a purpose in his life. This contributes heavily to his fatal flaw, being the first to jump in line when there is trouble afoot. He looks up to his father, the policeman, who puts his life on the line every single day to correct whatever mistake society can conjure up. His father has a purpose in his life, but he is still yet to find his own.

Time at Camp: He has spent at least 3 months in camp. Though, he is still getting used to the customs.

Brief History of Before Camp
Claude McAlexander was born and raised in the what is widely known as the 'Detroit of Canada'. A term, of course, he would use to call it himself.
He was brought up by two greatest of parents - David and Martha McAlexander. David was a police officer that worked for the Winnipeg Police Dept., serving his time there for over 30 years of his existence. Martha however, was a florist, who tended flowers at a local flower shop just down the street and up to the left.
It was the cutest kind of couple, Claude would admit truthfully. A brave policeman marrying a florist woman, giving him nice smelling flowers every night to show how she appreciates him in her life. It's really sappy, but he admits to bawwing profusely to it all the time.
They've manage to raise him in a nice community; the type that knew everyone from the bottom for their right ventricles. Besides his parents, his neighbors took him in just like they were part of the family!
That's how he met the bestest friend a human being could ever have, Johnny. Claude had met Johnny when Johnny had recently moved into the neighborhood, when he was only 7 years old. Johnny and his parents were new immigrants from the Philippines, and the McAlexanders couldn't be more then happy to befriend them and make them at home. The two boys developed a close relationship with each other lickety-split, and were sure to plan to spend the rest of their days and even up to where they we'll be both thrown into nursing homes.
Johnny and Claude went to the same schools, and they always had planned to do the same activities together as well. Both him and Claude had joined a hockey team, competing in tournaments together. Both their parents were shrieking from the top of their lungs, cheering on for their boys who had eventually scored the final goal for their team. They had won their first game together that day, and Claude still holds onto that medal, keeping it safe in his hands.
I guess it's alright to say that they were both inseparable.

On one school day, that all seemed like the rest; Johnny and Claude were only 13 years old when the incident happened. It was only the 5th period, which wasn't that long until lunch time at all. The children in the woods and crafts room were only just packing their bags to leave for lunch time.
Johnny and Claude were having a discussion with each other, something that was in relation to their friendship, which of course is always an important discussion to have with your friend. Usually, discussions like these only meant that both had start to realize just how special their bond is, or just how much it's decaying in their hands without even knowing so. But unlike all the discussions... it was as if this one was just like a test. A test to prove one's true love for the other.
Johnny had asked him a question that day. "Hey Claude. If we were stuck in a life or death situation right now, and a man were to be pointing a gun at both of us... would you let him shoot me or would you jump in front of me?"
Claude had tried his best to answer that question, but it was just so far out of context for him. Why would he ask him that? Was he having doubts about him as a best friend? "Johnny, to be honest, I'm not even sure if a maniac with gun would even spare us both. But I would anything for a brother, even if it means taking my own life!"
Johnny went on to just give him a simple smile. Maybe Claude had passed the test then...
but did he?

It was only the start of lunch time when the incident had happened. They were both putting their backpacks into their lockers and grabbing their bag of lunch out until the people in the hallway had heard a loud gunshot noise.
People had turned around to see a maniac, dressed in a office worker's shirt and tie with a mussed up hair style. He was holding a handgun and pointing it frantically at the students. They immediately dropped all their belongings and ran for their lives as a gunslinger had came into their school to reap on their souls. Claude remembers blood, first spilt on the floor as the man had shot a girl down on the ground. He remembers him and Johnny, being frozen in shock as the girl right next to their lockers had fallen flat on the floor.
He remembers the man, cornering both of them in the hallway. They were both staggering backwards, hoping they can escape from this situation. It didn't look like he was going to hold back.
Claude still remembers the visuals, repeating on and on through his head. The man had pointed the gun at him, and he was sure he was just as dead as the girl on the floor.
He heard a bang... but he didn't feel anything at all. Scared out of his wits, he slowly opened his eyes... only to find his best friend lying on the floor in front of him.
His best friend Johnny... he'd been shot.
He'd been shot because of him.
He did this for him.

Claude was sure the man was going to get him this time. But just right on time, the police officers had began to march right into the scene, stopping the man before he'd done anymore damage.
Johnny had been pronounced dead, prior to his arrival at the hospital that day.

Claude knew, he knew he had failed that test. And he still blames it on himself 'til this very day.
Right after the incident, he had been sent to see a therapist, and prescribed pills to help with his mentality. He had suffered from depression due to that incident. He had quit playing hockey right afterwards. It just didn't feel right to him anymore.
Nothing ever did after the incident.

------

Right after his mother had claimed him, his father had began to recite the gigantic confession he had pre-planned so carefully to his family. He began telling him the story from the moment he and Khione had met for the first time, up to the point where she had dropped off infant Claude on his porch.
Claude was just shaking his head in pure disbelief. His step mother had stood there silent, keeping her head down.
He couldn't believe it. His father was lying this whole entire time about his damn conception? He had lied about his mother disappearing in a snow storm during her trip back from Brandon to visit her family, and he'd kept that going on up to that very point in his life?
He didn't know whether he wanted to smack him straight across the face, or just disappear with the snow as well. Could that woman in his dreams... actually be his own biological mother?

After what felt like hours and hours of searching, David had found the same baby basket that she had put Claude in on the day of his birth.
Inside the baby basket, he'd found the same letter she'd put on his basket and had read the day he'd received him. What he didn't find though, trapped right beneath the cushions of the basket were brochures. They had contained information about one particular summer camp, fit for demigods just like Claude.
Him and his father decided when the time was right, they would both travel to Long Island to drop him off.

Pets: He's got a Rottweiler named Penny at home. Of course, Penny is nursing babies right now, so why would he bring her along to camp?

Any other notes:
Claude's most prized possession is the gold medal he won from competing his first hockey game with his late friend Johnny. He tags it around with him wherever he goes to places far away from home. No doubt he brought it along with him to Camp Half Blood as well.

Role-play Example:
"Why do all these swords have to be so damn heavy?" He heaved and heaved as he tried to swing a Celestial Bronze blade about. He'd think it would be easy to just pick one up and start slashing dummy about, back and forth. Sometimes, he can really underestimate a lot of things, like the weight of all these damn swords.
"Okay swordies!" He turned back to the other pile of swords laying on the ground, waiting to be picked up. "If either one of you is weightless and easy to hold with at least one and a half of a hand, please stand up."
The swords were still laying down on the ground, motionless and pretty much unable to stand up at all.
"Okay, digging through sharp objects to find the perfect sharp object to slash through things... no problem at all." He bend down, careful to not cut himself as he put each of the heavy ass swords aside. Luck just wasn't on his side when it came to choosing offensive weapons - specifically a sword.
He tested each one of them with his swinging hand, but most of them didn't even feel right with his swinging hand at all.
WHen he had reached down to the end of the pile, there were only two weapons remaining on the pile. One was a skinny looking spear - or a javelin as it is properly named. "Now how the hell does a javelin get to the bottom of a sword pile? People are so damn disorganized, huh?"
He remembers the javelin so well. Track and field was his main thing in gym class, and throwing those javelin spears far up to the skies was truly his speciality for that course.
Besides the javelin, there was a huge ass sword that looked like it can only be lifted up by Paul Bunyan himself. He'd imagine a quick little scenario of the lumberjack slashing trees around with the thing in his hand.
It looked way more stylish then an axe, but it was also highly impractical. "These Hephaestus kids sure know how to make a great weapon... if we were characters from an anime." He scoffed, doing the wise thing and choosing the tiny javelin instead.
"I think me and you can do great things. I am sure of it."

The only issue I have with the form is a couple of missing fields. I know it's quite redundant because his name is already in the title, but can you add the name field in please? Also add in the Claimed and Pets fields and how he managed to end up in camp c:

Aaaaah, I swear. It's either HTML doesn't work here completely or I did something to completely cut off the name field. xD
I updated the history, explaining how he ended up in camp along with the two missing fields! C:
