I'm ready for some spelunking.

Post by Crow on Thu Jul 25, 2013 9:54 am

Parker Niiro Peerson

Name:
This boy’s full name is Parker Niiro Peerson.

Nicknames:
Parker doesn't really have any nicknames other than the occasional 'Parks'. He chooses to never go by his odd middle name, which is a family name. He thinks it sounds stupid.

Age:
Parker is sixteen years of age. He was born on July 2nd, 1997.

Gender
Parker is most definitely a male.

Weapon:
Parker fights his battles with a trusty Celestial Bronze claymore. He prefers heavy-hitting weapons rather than something light, such as a knife. The demigod is one of those types of people who can pick up any item and use it like he has been practicing for years. In his case, however, unlike people who normally have this ability with musical instruments, he is like this with weapons. The only thing he cannot truly conquer is the bow and arrow. That doesn't mean he isn't going to stop trying getting better at it.

God Parent:
Parker's godly parent is Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing.

Claimed:
Parker is over age of thirteen, so he is claimed.

Powers:
As of now, Parker has no powers. He feels as if he might acquire them as he learns more about himself and trains more, however.

Hometown:
Parker hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Mortal Parent:
Janet Alrick is the name of Parker's mother. She has decided to not remarry and to carry on with her, her daughter (from a previous marriage) and from time to time, Parker.

Physical Description:
Parker's body has a sporty build. He can thank this to childhood, which was spent playing, you know it, sports. The boy stands at the height of five feet and five inches, which he feels is quite small for a boy of his age. He is able to combat being made fun of for his shorter than average height by being a 'bit' more built for kids his age. He weighs around one hundred and thirty-nine pounds. Parker's hair is a medium shade of brown that he generally keeps it styled upwards, rather than having it hang off of his head and looking like a shallow bowl. His eyes are such a deep shade of blue that they appear to be black in low light. Under light, they look twinkle and appear to be rings of different shades blue gemstones. The demigod's skin is a light shade of Caucasian that tans easily. He rarely finds himself sunburnt, and is very glad for that. All in all, Parker appears to be a thirteen year old on steroids.

Personality:
Parker is a very fun-loving boy. He is always up for adventuring and enjoys trying new things. The demigod tries his best to always be a happy camper and optimistic, no matter the situation. He knows that having a bad attitude about things always makes them worse, so he is always trying to stay upbeat and positive. While the boy has his good qualities, he also has his bad traits. Parker also finds himself over thinking  situations and makes them much harder than they need be. A quick temper is something that he has struggled with ever since he was a young lad. He has gotten much better at controlling it, but it is still there and one day Parker is afraid he is going to crack. If someone gets on his nerves, he tries to stay calm and counts to himself in his head. It generally helps, but sometimes he gets angry enough that he just needs to punch a pillow or in other cases, a wall or a tree. As well as those two things, Parker also tends to trust people a bit to quickly. This often leads him to get shut down or very disapointed with people. He has yet to learn that a lot of people are two-faced jerks.

Talents:
Parker is good at the sport of free-running and parkour. He had started doing the sport at the age of six when he was running away from bullies at his school and had to hop a fence. As simple as the task was, he felt invigorated by doing it and wanted to do it more. From there he enlisted in a gymnastics academy where he was taught and trained until the age of fifteen, when he arrived at Camp Half-Blood.
Parker is a good guitar player as well. He learned from watching his mother play hers, which was something awesome to see. His mother was amazing at the instrument and started teaching her son when he turned the age of nine.

Weaknesses:
Parker has issues when it comes to trusting people: he lets people get close to him too quickly and find ways to either make him happy or destroy him completely.
Parker also cannot watch people get hurt when he knows he can prevent it. He will often rush into a fight if it means that no one gets harmed, well, sometimes. More than a few times he has come out of other peoples fights harmed.

Fears:
Parker is afraid of heights, being in small spaces, and the all too well known fear of being rejected by society and that he will live a life of loneliness.

Time at Camp:
Parker has only been at camp for seven months, but has adjusted to the new style of life quite well.

Brief History of Before Camp:
Parker was born to his loving mother on a rainy July day in the year of 1997. His mother had been twice married, once to a mortal and once to a god. Her first marriage, two years before her godly one, brought her a child, a girl. One year into he marriage, Janet's husband was killed in a car accident. From there she tried to meet someone else and found herself coming across a god. The two took it slow, then after around seven months decided to marry the god, who went by the name David Peerson. Once Janet got pregnant with her second child, bad news arrived to her. She was told that her husband, her godly husband, had died in a freak accident at work. Heartbroken and deflated, Janet still trudged on. She had to take care of her daughter and her coming child. It was a tough pregnancy, but Janet pushed through. The second. That was the day she had her child. She named him Parker, after her father.

Parker had the average mortal life growing up. Being the child of a minor god, monsters never took notice nor bothered him. He excelled in all of his school classes and never ran into issues from his minor case of Dyslexia, which was discovered when he was in the third grade. Whenever it started acting up during school time, his teachers would assist him and help him along as if it was no strange thing to teach a kid with Dyslexia amid a bunch of normal kids. Parker was the type of child to never give up trying and that in itself helped him to overcome his affliction for the most part. Sure, he still struggles from time to time, but he can at least read large articles if he take it slow and one word at a time.

Parker's world started to go downhill into the world of demigods when he was the age of fifteen. He was walking home from a video game store by himself when a boy rushed out of the woods on his right and was being chased by his grotesque looking creature. Wanting to know more about what the thing he saw, he followed the two back into the woods. The boy came into a clearing eventually where there was only the boy he had saw and a big pile of golden dust. Wanting to know what the hell he had just saw, he simply asked the boy, who was surprised to hear Parker's voice.

The boy explained everything right there, right then. Words flowed out of his mouth like a waterfall as he told Parker stories of the gods and how they were truly real and what he had just seen was a monster called a chimera. It was all too much for Parker's mind to handle. He ended up ditching the crazy illusionist boy and heading back home.

The next day, Parker answered his door to find that same boy on his front porch. The boy rushed passed him and straight to his mother, who was enjoying a coffee and a book on her day off. He told her the same thing he had told Parker the day before and demonstrated his powers for her. As with Parker, Janet saw this boy as insane and possibly possesses or something like that. The kid was then forced out of the house.

That night, the kid came back with a few buddies and they grabbed Parker, who was asleep. The boy was quick to wake up and tried to fight back, but he was rendered unconscious thanks to a brick or rock or something hard to the head.

When he finally awoke, he found himself in this place filled with beds and medical supplies. He had awoken in the infirmary at Camp Half-Blood. Parker got up and walked around, but stopped when he saw this horse-man creature walking towards the building. The boy ran back to his bed and pretended to still be knocked out. The creature walked in and right up to him. That was enough for Parker to stop pretending. This creature dude thingy might be able to answer his questions! He shot up and began pelting the centaur with questions. To his surprise, all of them were answered in a calm fashion. The centaur, Chiron, explained everything in a much better way than the crazy boy had. Everything had apparently been explained to his mother and sister at home and was now being to him. He was to be enrolled in this camp for the summer only, unless he got stronger and became a more important demigod. As much as a shock it was to him, Parker actually seemed to fit in quite well with all the other kids there and they all seemed oddly similar to him in one way or another. It took him a while, but Parker eventually accepted who he truly was, a demigod.

Role-play Example:
Taking in a deep breath, Parker opens his eyes as looks at the path ahead of him. It seemed simple enough right? There was a flag embedded in the rock and all Parker had to do was run up and grab it. No one was even guarding the flag. What a steal! Still, he kept quiet and snuck up to the rocks, his body hidden by bushes that scratched and grabbed at his clothes and body. All seemed clear. He makes a hand motion to stay put backwards, just in case anyone was following him. Steeling himself for the run and possibly the right ahead, Parker blasts out of the bushes and makes a dash for the flag. In under a mere second, they were all around. At least ten different demigods had sprung from nowhere. How they got there so quickly, Parker would never discover. "Are you serious?" the boy mutters as he raises up his sword, but knowing he didn't really stand a chance.

Any other notes:
His color is silver
I would like to thank Asi for making me rush this form.

Mortals can't get inside CHB so please edit that little bit in the form about his mother and sister being behind Chiron as he walks in the infirmary.

Also, Callan McAuliffe is already claimed as a playby by yours truly lol.
